This Privacy Policy explains how Calendar Sync Extension for Mac Mail ("the Extension") accesses, uses, stores, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the Extension and its calendar synchronization features.

The Extension is designed to process information locally on your Mac. The Extension does not operate a server-side database for collecting or storing your Google user data and does not send Google user data to servers operated by the Extension developer. Google user data is transmitted directly to Google only when necessary to provide a Google Calendar operation that you explicitly request.

By connecting a Google account to the Extension, you authorize the Extension to access the Google user data described in this Privacy Policy for the purpose of providing the calendar functionality requested by you.

1. Google User Data We Access

When you choose to connect your Google account, the Extension requests access to specific Google account and Google Calendar data. The Extension only requests the permissions necessary to provide its implemented Google Calendar functionality.

Depending on the permissions you grant, the Extension may access the following categories of Google user data:

The Extension requests these permissions only to authenticate the Google account, read the calendars and calendar information needed for the calendar interface, and create or manage calendar events when you explicitly request those operations.

2. How We Use Google User Data

Google user data is used only to provide the calendar synchronization and event-management features requested by you. The Extension does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.

Calendar Information

The Extension uses Google Calendar data to display your available calendars, identify calendars that can be used by the Extension, allow you to select a calendar, and provide calendar information required for calendar operations.

Creating Calendar Events

When you choose to create a calendar event from an email, the Extension may process information from the email, such as the subject, date, time, location, description, URL, and participants, to prepare a corresponding event.

The Extension processes this information locally on your Mac when preparing the event. When you explicitly request that the event be created in Google Calendar, only the information necessary to perform that requested operation is transmitted to Google Calendar through Google's Calendar API.

The Extension does not upload your email mailbox, email history, or unrelated email content to the Extension developer's servers.

Authentication

Basic Google account information is used to identify the Google account that you have connected and to associate authorized Google Calendar access with that account within the Extension.

OAuth access and refresh tokens are used solely to authenticate and authorize API requests to Google services on your behalf. The Extension does not request or store your Google account password.

3. How Google User Data Is Shared, Transferred, or Disclosed

The Extension does not sell, rent, or provide Google user data to advertisers, data brokers, information resellers, or other third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

The Extension does not transfer Google user data to servers operated by the Extension developer. Google user data is processed locally on your Mac except when communication with Google is required to authenticate your account or perform a Google Calendar operation requested by you.

Google receives information through Google's Calendar API when necessary to provide the Google Calendar functionality you explicitly request. For example, when you create a calendar event, the event information necessary to create that event is transmitted to Google Calendar.

Google user data is not shared with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the Extension's user-facing functionality.

We do not allow third parties to use Google user data for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, retargeted advertising, interest-based advertising, creditworthiness assessments, lending, data brokerage, information resale, or unrelated commercial purposes.

The Extension does not transfer Google user data to third parties for human review, except where disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

The Extension does not sell, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties for the purpose of building databases of user information or for training generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Local Processing

The Extension is designed to perform processing locally on your Mac whenever technically possible.

Email information used to prepare a calendar event is processed locally by the Extension. The Extension does not upload your mailbox or email content to servers operated by the Extension developer.

Google Calendar information is communicated directly with Google's services only when necessary for authentication, calendar synchronization, or a calendar operation explicitly requested by you.

The Extension does not collect Google Calendar data into a developer-controlled cloud database or backend service.

5. Storage of Google User Data

Google user data and authorization information used by the Extension are stored locally on your Mac rather than in a server-side database operated by the Extension developer.

OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally using the macOS Keychain. The macOS Keychain provides operating-system-level protection and encrypted storage for sensitive credentials.

The Extension does not store your Google account password.

Calendar information and other information required for the Extension's functionality may be temporarily stored locally on your Mac as necessary to provide the functionality you request.

The Extension does not maintain a server-side database containing your Google Calendar data as part of its normal operation.

6. Data Protection and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect Google user data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Sensitive OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored locally using the macOS Keychain rather than ordinary application files or unprotected storage. The macOS Keychain provides encrypted, operating-system-protected storage for sensitive credentials.

Google API communication uses secure HTTPS/TLS connections.

Access to locally stored authorization information is protected by the security controls provided by macOS, including the security protections of the user's Mac and user account.

The Extension does not intentionally expose Google user data through public endpoints, public databases, or publicly accessible files.

Google user data is not stored on servers operated by the Extension developer during normal operation.

Although reasonable security measures are used, no software, device, network, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Retention of Google User Data

Because the Extension is designed to operate locally on your Mac, Google user data is not retained in a developer-controlled server-side database.

OAuth authorization credentials stored by the Extension may remain locally on your Mac while your Google account remains connected to the Extension. These credentials are stored using the macOS Keychain.

Calendar information temporarily processed by the Extension is retained locally only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the calendar functionality requested by you.

Information that is no longer required for the Extension's functionality is not intentionally retained by the Extension.

Where retention is required by applicable law or necessary to protect the security of the Extension, information may be retained for the period required or permitted by law.

8. Deletion of Google User Data

You can disconnect your Google account from the Extension at any time. When you disconnect the account, the Extension stops using the associated OAuth credentials to access Google services.

When a Google account is disconnected, the locally stored OAuth authorization credentials associated with that account are removed from the Extension's local credential storage and macOS Keychain where supported by the Extension's account-removal process.

You can also remove the Extension and its associated application data from your Mac. Removing the application and its associated local data removes locally stored Extension data subject to the normal data-management behavior of macOS.

You may revoke the Extension's access to your Google account through your Google Account security settings. After authorization is revoked, the Extension can no longer use the revoked authorization to access Google Calendar.

Because the Extension does not maintain a developer-controlled server-side database of Google user data, there is no developer server database from which Google Calendar data must be deleted.

If you believe that Google user data remains stored locally by the Extension and you want it deleted, you may contact us using the support contact provided through the application or its official distribution page.

9. Email Information

When you use the Extension to create a calendar event from an email, the Extension may process information contained in that email, including the subject, message content, sender, recipients, dates, times, locations, URLs, and other information necessary to prepare the event.

Email information is processed locally on your Mac and is used only to provide the calendar functionality explicitly requested by you.

The Extension does not upload your mailbox or email history to servers operated by the Extension developer.

If you explicitly request that an event be created in Google Calendar, only the information necessary to create that event is transmitted to Google through Google's Calendar API.

10. Analytics and Diagnostics

The Extension does not use Google user data for advertising analytics, advertising profiles, or behavioral advertising.

The Extension does not intentionally collect Google Calendar data or email content for analytics, marketing, profiling, or unrelated usage tracking.

Any technical diagnostic information, if generated by the operating system or application environment, is not used as a means of collecting or analyzing Google Calendar content for advertising or unrelated purposes.

11. Google User Data and Advertising

Google user data is not sold, rented, or used for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, retargeted advertising, interest-based advertising, or advertising profiles.

Google user data is not used to determine creditworthiness, provide lending services, or create databases of user information for unrelated purposes.

Google user data is not used to train or improve generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are directly related to the functionality of the Extension and that are requested or used by the user.

12. Google API Services Limited Use Disclosure

The Extension's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is accessed only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and only to provide the Extension's user-facing calendar functionality.

The Extension does not use Google user data for purposes prohibited by Google's Limited Use requirements, including advertising, selling data, data brokerage, creditworthiness assessment, lending, or training generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

The Extension does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the user-facing Google Calendar functionality requested by the user, as required by law, or as otherwise permitted by the Google API Services User Data Policy.

13. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to providing the Extension's functionality.

14. Your Rights and Controls

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing.

You remain in control of the Google account permissions granted to the Extension. You can review or revoke the Extension's access through your Google Account settings.

You can also disconnect your Google account from the Extension at any time through the account-management functionality provided by the Extension.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the Extension, its Google API integrations, applicable law, or our privacy practices.

The "Last Updated" date indicates when this policy was most recently revised.

If material changes are made to how the Extension accesses, uses, stores, transfers, or deletes Google user data, this Privacy Policy will be updated to accurately describe those practices.
